Rev. Lawrence Fung

Lawrence was former International Director of Gospel Operation International (GOI), and currently serves as their Missionary Care Envoy. He was born and raised in Hong Kong. His fulltime ministry began at Hong Kong Youth for Christ after graduating from college, later became their Asia Training Director and Acting Executive Director. While he was studying at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (GGBTS) in San Francisco, he began serving in Cumberland Presbyterian Chinese Church (CPCC). Rev. Fung earned his Master of Divinity (1984) and Doctor of Ministry (1989) from GGBTS. After serving as Senior Pastor of CPCC for over 20 years, he was called to serve at GOI in 2008. Lawrence later also earned his Doctor of Intercultural Studies degree (2011) from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Rev. and Mrs. Loretta Fung have 2 adult children (both married) and 5 grandchildren.

Rev. Chun-Ming Stephen Ho

 

Rev. Chun-Ming Stephen Ho is a project missionary of Gospel Operation International (GOI) serving in the capacities of missionary care and mission training. Stephen was born and grew up in Hong Long. He is sure of his salvation and was called to full time ministry when he was in high school. After high school graduation, Stephen prepared himself for full time ministry at Overseas Bible Seminary in Hong Kong. Upon graduation, Stephen took his newly wedded wife Jenny Sheung-Fung to the Philippines as missionaries serving in the areas of pioneering and a pastor in 1975. He returned to Hong Kong to become a pastor of Yaumati Ling Liang Church afterwards. By the grace of God, Stephen came to Wheaton Graduate School in the United States for master’s study concentrating in the Old Testament in 1983. He continued his education in the Hebrew language at University of Wisconsin – Madison after graduation and pastored Madison Chinese Christian Church at the same time. Stephen graduated from Western Seminary with a Doctor of Missiology degree in 2009. Rev. Ho joined Chinese Christian Mission in 1991 and is responsible for mission administration and supervising missionaries. He and his co-workers started GOI in 1995 and his responsibilities include training and supervising missionaries and developing fields. He traveled extensively in Latin America, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa within that capacity. Stephen and Jenny were sent out as missionaries by GOI 2002 serving in Myanmar, South Korea, and Thailand mainly in training ministry. Jenny is a fellow seminarian of Stephen at Overseas Bible Seminary and the Lord blessed them with two lovely daughters, and they have grown. Jenny and Stephen are now living in San Diego in the United States.
